  1. Hi....welcome to the Forum As Siggy has mentioned, keep on top of servicing and use the best quality components and fluids as you can afford....it does make a difference on longevity of the vehicle. Good to have you onboard
  2. Hi....welcome to the Forum Unfortunately there are a few descriptions of this fault code and it depends on how it relates to the symptoms the vehicle is displaying. Are there any running faults with the car/engine or is something not working?
  3. Hi Terry....welcome to the Forum I would be tempted to drill a small hole in the rear where the water is collecting and insert a grommet once you have put some corrosion protection on the bare metal....better to let the water drain out than sitting there. Also, worth sealing the light unit gasket to stop any further water ingress. If it was me I would also fill the affected area with waxoyl or similar anti-corrosion wax treatment. Good to have you onboard
  4. not sure exactly where they would be located but would assume there would be one near the top and another somewhere near the bottom or at least both at the top at the same level and a plate securing it at the bottom (look underneath the radiator to see if there is a bracket there) Let us know what you find
  5. Hi....welcome to the forums Good to have you onboard
  6. Only thing I can think of is matching clutch driven plate to the input shaft splines to suit the new gearbox.
  7. I can imagine the old one is a good quality battery but tired and the new one may be defective
  8. Thanks for the update so far Cliff.....hopefully the rear mushroom may improve it along with the front one
  9. Thanks for the update so far.....good luck with it p.s. best check the battery terminals are clean and tight just to be sure its not that
  10. Hi....welcome to the Forums Ask away and hopefully we'll be able to help you out.
  11. Hi Carl.....welcome to the Club Have you tested the alternator for output...should be around/just over 14 volts. If providing specified current/voltage then I would suggest that the battery is defective (albeit a new one). Had this in the past where a customer went off to get their own battery and fitted it but not keeping a charge. Told him to take it back as it was a cheap one and spend a bit more money on a premium battery.....you can tell the difference in the same size battery by the weight of it....cheap one is a lot lighter as not much lead inside. You get what you pay for sometimes! Let us know what you find
  12. shouldn't have a fuse on speaker wires as no large current in the wires. I would run a continuity test on the wires to see if they are intact or if there is a break somewhere or even or connection block in poor condition or loose connections
  13. Hi Bob....welcome to the Forum Another satisfied Insignia driver....very popular and liked, albeit underestimated car Good to have you onboard Cheers . Trevor
  14. Please let us know the outcome as would love to know how to adjust them in the future if needs be
  15. Hi....welcome to the Forums Hopefully you'll not have too many tales of woe and your journeys are smooth ones Good to have you onboard
  16. Door card of to see whats happening then I guess.....once off then at least you can see if there is any adjustment available
  17. Could only therefore be the connections or the wiring to the rear speakers unless it goes through an Amp or similar
  18. Hi Cliff.....welcome to the Forum I wonder if it is to do with the window auto dropping as it is a convertible as most convertibles do this to ensure the window doesn't foul the roof when the door is opened and closed. More than likely the door is not being sensed as being closed and the window has not raised itself to seal to the roof. Try opening and closing the drivers door and see if the window winds up the last few centimetres and if so then there is a fault with the passenger door sensor
  19. Hi....welcome to the Forum Maybe just down to settings (e.g. balance and fade) ? Good to have you onboard
  20. Hi.....welcome to the forum I love the Frontera and can't remember the last time I saw one on the road You may find some parts on the continent labelled as Opel which would fit the same (in most cases) Good to have you onboard
  21. Hi....welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard
  22. Hi Andy I would be tempted to drain and refill the transmission oil. Usually there are two plugs.....the lower one being the drain and slightly higher up is the refill/level plug. I would assume they would be on the outer side of the box near the diff.
  23. I would check the gear oil level to ensure it is to the correct level and if in doubt then replace the fluid
