Hi Andy, all good here, thanks! If you have ABS you should get a lamp showing on the dashboard If nothing showing then more than likely not equipped with it. Alternatively, it may be remotely mounted near the master cylinder area and bolted to the chassis leg. Would be interested in seeing the old fluid Cheers. Trevor

Service Theft Deterrent System NO Crank
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to tvktk's topic in Vauxhall Owners Lounge
Hi....welcome to the Forum First thoughts are it is related to the battery voltage (or lack of it) It sounds like the BCM needs resetting as the battery voltage will still be storing memory of the low voltage until it is reprogrammed to accept the new voltage from the replacement battery....but I'm sure the Vauxhall dealership would know that Keep us updated on what you find out -
Hi...welcome to the Forum Sorry to hear your engine has expired. Usually the best place to source a replacement is via eBay and there are usually several rebuilders selling engines listed on there. Which ones are the best sellers I could not say but if there are any Ivor Searle engines available then grab on them as they are usually superb engines with good warranty

-
Hi.....welcome to the Forum Burning smell? is it a petrol or diesel? If it is diesel then it may be the DPF regenerating which produces a burning smell when active. Good to have you onboard
-
Hi....welcome to the Forum It doesn't surprise me as some keys are now becoming more prevalent. Here is a company that may be able to assist https://www.car-keys-online.com/

Not sure I've seen any videos but if you buy from Halfords then they can fit them for you (at a cost though)
-
Hi Lyn....welcome to the Forum You would probably be best to have a Parrot system installed as they tend to work better than most original fitment systems and a lot cheaper as well. Let us know how you get on with it

It certainly looks the part, can't say I have ever driven one and let alone compared the petrol and diesel version so look forward to seeing the video and hearing your thoughts on the car. -

Hi Janet....welcome to the Forum Congrats on the impending marriage, albeit next year now. Your best bet would be to contact any local Classic Car clubs and hopefully they may know someone who can assist you. Let us know how you get on

Hi....welcome to the Forum Its either the motor or the switch, I would imagine it would be the motor more than the switch but you can't totally discount it until you fit one or the other. Also check any earth points near the motor and in the engine bay in general

Hi...welcome to the forum I would personally use a smoke generator to find the source of the leak. Smoke is easier to find its way through any hole or crack, water is a lot denser and it tracks along surfaces unlike smoke.

Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Harlow2009's topic in Vauxhall Owners Lounge
Hi....welcome to the Forum Here is a selection of wiring diagrams for the Vivaro but depends on which circuit you're after https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C5CHFA_enGB830GB831&source=univ&tbm=isch&q=2011+vauxhall+vivaro+wiring+diagrams&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwje4PzJvYvsAhXcQEEAHQy3BUIQjJkEegQIDBAB&biw=1670&bih=931 -
I believe you should be able to store it as a Favourite Station or similar
-
Blimey! that's bizarre with the wrong oil being in the transmission and still working. Should work a lot better after a fluid and filter change
-
Hi Tracy. The oil quality should have been reset to 100% when the service was carried out. It will need to be reset using a diagnostic tool and would be best to take it back to the garage for them to reset it
