Hi....welcome to the Forum
Sorry we dont have any Club stickers or tshirts for this club and we dont have any meetings as yet (but you are more than welcome to set up one if you like).
I don't know about the kangeroo running but restricted revs could be the turbo variable vanes gummed up.
Try cleaning the turbo with a proper turbo cleaning solution
If it only happens when its cold then I would imagine it to be a coolant temperature sensor.
If you plug in the OBD reader, can you select live data and read the coolant temperature when its cold.
If its a ridiculous reading such as -30 degrees Centigrade or +25 degrees Centigrade for example then it is out of range but not flagging a code.

Not sure why the ABS light would suddenly come on after the garage visit unless they did some work on the brakes or suspension and forgot to plug in the sensor?
Hi...welcome to the Forum
It would be worth having a 'combustion sniff test' done on the coolant to determine if there is any combustion gasses present in the coolant suggesting that the head gasket is on its way out.

Hi...welcome to the Forum
I would imagine pre-facelift doors should fit okay.
Usually, a facelift is just that...revised bumpers, grille, etc. used to update the looks of the car.
First thoughts would be to scan the ECU and see what codes are stored.
Otherwise, if it is temperature related when the fault occurs then it may be the Coolant Temperature Sensor at fault
Is the coil pack a combined one (e.g. 4 coils on a rail) or are they individual coils?
Also, have a look at the wiring going to number 3 cylinder coil pack for damage
Hi
SOunds like an electrical connection has some corrosion in it
Worth removing the plastic panel underneath the windscreen to access the wiper motor to then remove the connector block and see what the condition is like.

Without seeing which type of pulley attached to it I couldn't say if there is any slots in there that you can put a bar through to lock the assembly to tighten the nut.
As it is on a taper by the look of it it won't take much to tighten down.
Let us know how you get on with it
Hi Neil....welcome to the Forum
It sounds like the turbo vanes are gummed up with carbon which is a common fault.
If the car drives fine until a load is applied (turbo boosting) then the vanes which are supposed to throw out to vary the pitch to improve the delivery of boost tend to stick and cause the engine to go into limp home mode.
There are kits you can buy and lots of info on you-tube/google about how to clean the vanes and then once cleaned you just need to drive it hard to keep them clear of carbon deposits.

Absolute bargain Andy!
I always believe that there cannot be too much wrong with a vehicle if it achieved a huge mileage count, it would only have got there if it was reliable and maintained correctly over its life.
For that money I would just keep driving it until it expires but keeping on top of all maintenance to ensure it carries on for many years.
Post up some pics of the two if you want, it would be interesting to see the comparison of the two cars
Hi...welcome to the forums
