  1. You could have a faulty alternator which is causing the drain or not fully charging the battery A battery check with heavy duty discharge will determine if there is a fault there Also check your earth leads as these are often overlooked (leads, connections, etc)
  2. Sounds like a vacuum issue where no vacuum is being supplied to the brake servo. Check vacuum hose connections and also listen out for any hissing noises under the bonnet, also if there is a vacuum leak then the engine revs will be lumpy on tickover
  3. I would be looking at any earth connections and leads in the rear of the van to start with Clean the earth points or substitute some earth leads directly to the lamp unit(s) to see if that improves it
  4. Hi Phil....welcome to the Club Wow! haven't seen one of those in a very long time, unusual paint/roof combination, not seen one like that before (or if I have I've long forgotten it) Good to have you onboard!
  5. Hi.....welcome to the forum fire away with the questions and hopefully there will be a few (sensible) answers Good to have you onboard and fine looking Insignia
  6. Just make sure its got a good service history and all scheduled maintenance has been carried out to date
  7. always use eBay myself - there is a link to Vauxhall parts at the top of this page
  8. If it is working but the range has decreased then I don't imagine it is a resync that is needed but probably better quality fob batteries maybe?
  9. I believe it is an interference engine and would result in valve damage
  10. Is it a diesel engine with a turbo? If so then probably the turbo variable vanes are sticking with carbon and need cleaning through
  11. It takes a time for the average to settle down if you've just reset it
  12. I have used a Diesel Tuning Box with great results on a 2.2 Honda CR-V engine and should produce similar results that your looking for Try DTUK for their kit and reasonably priced as well
  13. I would imagine it would be a constant drain on the battery especially as the engine is switched off during the seat movement?
  14. Crankshaft or Camshaft sensor(s) possibly but would scan the ECU for any stored fault codes first to more precisely determine the cause
  15. I would take the seat out to repair as will be a lot easier to work on removed from the car
  16. That is an odd one and doesn't sounds like any standard automotive warning bleeper I would try to isolate the noise from under the dash and see where it leads Could be an aftermarket device (reverse sensor, tracker, etc)
  17. Oh dear but at least you did have an audible warning of the spring breaking and it didn't penetrate the tyre sidewall on its way out Should be a straightforward job and at least you have the nice weather to do it in See, I always bring positivity to your posts
  18. Mainly discs and pads are listed as wear and tear items so probably won't honour the replacement
  19. I'm not sure it will fit the space of the old one but if it does then wire up as you would any other stereo head unit Start with the power wires and if you don't blow any fuses and it powers up the work out the speakers from there
  20. Hi briang ....welcome to the Club Fine car to own and hopefully will behave itself for you during your ownership
  21. Its certainly worth asking the question but generally front discs and pads do wear more heavily than the rear ones. Not sure what the terrain is that you most often drive (e.g. motorways is fewer braking, but heavier when doing so - town driving lots of braking but mostly light, etc)
  22. Have you tried replacing the coolant pressure cap as this can cause the issue if it is failing to hold the pressure
  23. Best to get it properly evacuated at a garage to save the environment and they can even reuse it to refill your A/C once you have carried out the work on it
  24. Best to plug in a scanner to see what the issues are in the engine management before going any further
