  1. I would see what difference the fuse removal makes and if it doesn't drain over a couple of days then you have isolated the source. Check all of the wiring in the heater fan circuit to see if damaged. Remove the fan motor to test it and see if there is any issues there with high resistance and replace if necessary to assess if this has resolved the issue.
  2. Merry Christmas to the members of the Vauxhall Owners Club Enjoy the festive break and see you back here in 2025
  3. sounds like the air conditioning is coming on and the revs will go up to compensate for the drag on the engine from the Air Con compressor
  4. Any update on this situation yet? Surprised that they will not honour a warranty issue as you bought it through a Vauxhall dealership so they are liable in my opinion.
  5. Have you managed to discover the cause of this issue yet? Wondering if it is battery strength being low on start up and invoking the alarm or relays to become active and when AC kicks in the that is more drain on the battery?
  6. Just had a look around online and cannot find anything with that engine spec I'm sure it must be used on other engine ranges but varying part numbers suggest they are all different in some way
  7. I have had issues with the motors before as they are cheaply (and badly) manufactured in China and kept packing up Have replaced resistor packs as well and the is a wiring modification for a new plug so not sure if this may be a cause?
  8. Thanks for providing us with feedback and helpful for any members who are in the same situation. Cannot believe the dealers didn't pick up on this, but always good to know a decent independent garage who can solve issues like this
  9. may be cheap resistor pack and maybe try one from a different supplier? If it was a high resistance in the wiring then it would pop the fuse or burn the wiring
  10. Sounds like it could be the fuse is slightly loose in the fusebox but more likely wiring issue. The wipers sounds like the linkage has detached itself and would need to remove the arms and plastic panel to access the linkage to reattach or replace it More than likely is the window switch or wiring to the door that is the issue
  11. Thanks for sharing with us and hopefully it can find a good home shortly. If you could share some more details such as a contact number and a photo then it may attract more views.
  12. Antifreeze change is definitely worth doing this time of year and reminds me I must soon get round to changing on my own cars (and bike)
  13. Glad you managed to sort the running issue Andy As for the sensor I would leave it alone if its running fine and just reconnect the plug. The other component, I'm not exactly sure what it is but more than likely emissions related. Again, if the vehicle is running fine then I would be more tempted to leave it be
  14. You may possibly find it behind the nearside front wheelarch liner look for corrosion as it is in a vunerable location for salt and debris from the roads
  15. quite possibly the wrong bulb has been fitted somewhere and it is back-feeding the lighting system
  16. wiggle the wiring (located in rubber trunking) from the A post (windscreen pillar) to the front of the door while holding the switch in position. If it works then its more than likely a broken wire....as the door articulates back and forth the wires can sometimes break
  17. First thing I would do is to check the battery is totally up to par for the cranking and have you tried easystart to see if it fires?
  18. not sure of the benefit of doing that Are you considering an increase in range possibly?
  19. a motorsport parts dealer such as DemonTweeks may have the parts to do this modification as older Vauxhalls used to compete in the day
  20. Hi....welcome to the club Not many of those left on the roads now! New fabric can be used to retrim seats and roof at a vehicle trimmers...the old stock (if any) would be well past sell by date and degraded by now
  21. Sounds very much like a fault Body Control Module (BCM) but check all power and earth leads on the vehicle first
  22. Hi Andy It is possible that the waterpump impellor isn't working as well as it was when it was new and in the case of some old BMWs the impellor used to come off the shaft and sit idle and blocking the waterways. Remarkably, the engine gave no symptoms of any issues except for when sitting in traffic (thermosyphon system working as it should do) Worth replacing if in doubt but also don't forget the coolant expansion cap on the reservoir as if this is faulty then it can cause the same symptoms
  23. yes usually just the one bulb and possibly access from behind the lamp unit (if not remove the lamp unit to access)
  24. blimey thats a bit of a faff to put it in neutral Mind you, the instructions are for the car washes where they require the car to move....most car washes the car is stationary
  25. Maybe disconnect the battery leave for a few minutes and reconnect. then try to set the clock and see what happens
