  1. If it is working but the range has decreased then I don't imagine it is a resync that is needed but probably better quality fob batteries maybe?
  2. I believe it is an interference engine and would result in valve damage
  3. Is it a diesel engine with a turbo? If so then probably the turbo variable vanes are sticking with carbon and need cleaning through
  4. It takes a time for the average to settle down if you've just reset it
  5. I have used a Diesel Tuning Box with great results on a 2.2 Honda CR-V engine and should produce similar results that your looking for Try DTUK for their kit and reasonably priced as well
  6. I would imagine it would be a constant drain on the battery especially as the engine is switched off during the seat movement?
  7. Crankshaft or Camshaft sensor(s) possibly but would scan the ECU for any stored fault codes first to more precisely determine the cause
  8. I would take the seat out to repair as will be a lot easier to work on removed from the car
  9. That is an odd one and doesn't sounds like any standard automotive warning bleeper I would try to isolate the noise from under the dash and see where it leads Could be an aftermarket device (reverse sensor, tracker, etc)
  10. Oh dear but at least you did have an audible warning of the spring breaking and it didn't penetrate the tyre sidewall on its way out Should be a straightforward job and at least you have the nice weather to do it in See, I always bring positivity to your posts
  11. Mainly discs and pads are listed as wear and tear items so probably won't honour the replacement
  12. I'm not sure it will fit the space of the old one but if it does then wire up as you would any other stereo head unit Start with the power wires and if you don't blow any fuses and it powers up the work out the speakers from there
  13. Hi briang ....welcome to the Club Fine car to own and hopefully will behave itself for you during your ownership
  14. Its certainly worth asking the question but generally front discs and pads do wear more heavily than the rear ones. Not sure what the terrain is that you most often drive (e.g. motorways is fewer braking, but heavier when doing so - town driving lots of braking but mostly light, etc)
  15. Have you tried replacing the coolant pressure cap as this can cause the issue if it is failing to hold the pressure
  16. Best to get it properly evacuated at a garage to save the environment and they can even reuse it to refill your A/C once you have carried out the work on it
  17. Best to plug in a scanner to see what the issues are in the engine management before going any further
  18. Start with the battery and work your way through the system Sounds much like this is the issue. If you can jump start it then drive to Halfords and they can test it and replace if necessary
  19. These guys do repairs on your cluster and if you get another panel you may need to recode it to the car so maybe best option to repair? https://www.autotronics.co.uk/product/vauxhall-meriva-b-2010-2014-instrument-cluster-repair
  20. Hi billyboy ...welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard!
  21. Hi....welcome to the Club Unfortunately, we don't have anything planned for this year Great project car, keep us updated with the progress
  22. Hi Keith.....welcome to the club Two Corsas...now thats just greedy
  23. I imagine once the unit is coded to the car so that it functions then it would also need an aerial to receive the signal Possibly you could mirror link a phone sat nav function to the existing unit and run Waze or TomTom, would be a better and cheaper option with no expensive update discs or cards required
  24. Not sure but possibly may look similar to this
