  1. Thanks for the update and also letting us know the part number - its quite easy to snap the bolt when tightening 😞
  2. Check your battery (Halfords do a free test) and replace if necessary There is always more of a load on batteries during the colder weather
  3. What an absolutely fantastic car and from the era when they were built well
  4. I would be tempted to look on eBay for a replacement as don't think you'll get a new one nowadays
  5. Totally agree with AndyR it is usually the cause but also check the wiring is not poor connection (wiggle the lead going to the motor and resistor pack when fan switched on)
  6. An airbag light should extinguish once the repair has been carried out as it looks at the system resistances each time the ignition is cycled. You should be able to get away with the clock spring if it physically fits as the resistance should be within similar spec to the original one
  7. Great collection of cars and some I haven't seen in years like the Metropolitan I guess the weather had to break eventually as you'd had a good run up to now
  8. Hi....welcome to the Club Fine looking Astra and great colour! Good to have you onboard
  9. Feel free to post an advert (at no cost) in the For Sale section of this forum
  10. Hi....welcome to the Club Look forward to seeing the pics, can't remember the last time I saw an Omega on the road Good to have you onboard!
  11. Hi....welcome to the Club That's a low mileage car for the year Good to have you onboard!
  12. Thanks for sharing the piccys.....looks like a great turnout and lucky with the weather
  13. Hi...welcome to the Club Hope you're still enjoying the Insignia
  14. Hi...welcome to the Club It would not only require the hardware (wheel, switches, etc) but also need coding into the Body Control Module (BCM) for it to operate and that would require dealer level diagnostic equipment to carry this out
  15. Hi....welcome to the Club Quite a collection of nice Vauxhalls in the past 🙂 Any questions, fire away and hopefully someone may know the answers
  16. A proper traditional British steam fair event - and a day of perfect weather by the look of it
  17. defintitely sound like battery needs replacing. If you can restart it the light should go out then it is the battery
  18. Sounds like its getting blocked and needs high engine revs (for a period of time - maybe thrash up motorway in a lower gear until it runs clear)
  19. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/
  20. vacuum leak, sticking throttle, many reasons it could be....needs scanning to get a more accurate diagnosis
  21. some lovely models which I can't remember the last time I would have seen one of the on the road
  22. another array of fine machines, especially love the pick up trucks! I remember having a Ford Popular, same as the Anglia in the last photo which had vacuum wipers and if you accelerated or went up a hill they virtually stopped but down the other side they then went so fast the blades almost fell off 🙂
  23. what a lovely collection of fine machines....luckily it looks like you had nice weather which is a bonus
