Thanks for the update and also letting us know the part number - its quite easy to snap the bolt when tightening 😞
-
CODE 68
Check your battery (Halfords do a free test) and replace if necessary There is always more of a load on batteries during the colder weather

What an absolutely fantastic car and from the era when they were built well
-
Automatic Shift lever
I would be tempted to look on eBay for a replacement as don't think you'll get a new one nowadays

My vectra blower is not working only on 4
Totally agree with AndyR it is usually the cause but also check the wiring is not poor connection (wiggle the lead going to the motor and resistor pack when fan switched on)

Air bag light
An airbag light should extinguish once the repair has been carried out as it looks at the system resistances each time the ignition is cycled. You should be able to get away with the clock spring if it physically fits as the resistance should be within similar spec to the original one

wythall car meet
Great collection of cars and some I haven't seen in years like the Metropolitan I guess the weather had to break eventually as you'd had a good run up to now

Hi Y'all. My 1st VX Car.
Hi...welcome to the Club It would not only require the hardware (wheel, switches, etc) but also need coding into the Body Control Module (BCM) for it to operate and that would require dealer level diagnostic equipment to carry this out

Code 68
defintitely sound like battery needs replacing. If you can restart it the light should go out then it is the battery
-
Vectra
Sounds like its getting blocked and needs high engine revs (for a period of time - maybe thrash up motorway in a lower gear until it runs clear)

vauxhalls at last
some lovely models which I can't remember the last time I would have seen one of the on the road

local meet
another array of fine machines, especially love the pick up trucks! I remember having a Ford Popular, same as the Anglia in the last photo which had vacuum wipers and if you accelerated or went up a hill they virtually stopped but down the other side they then went so fast the blades almost fell off 🙂

malvern show
