  1. You could have a faulty alternator which is causing the drain or not fully charging the battery

A battery check with heavy duty discharge will determine if there is a fault there

Also check your earth leads as these are often overlooked (leads, connections, etc)

  2. Sounds like a vacuum issue where no vacuum is being supplied to the brake servo.
Check vacuum hose connections and also listen out for any hissing noises under the bonnet, also if there is a vacuum leak then the engine revs will be lumpy on tickover

  3. Hi Phil....welcome to the Club

Wow!  haven't seen one of those in a very long time, unusual paint/roof combination, not seen one like that before (or if I have I've long forgotten it)

    Good to have you onboard!

  4. Oh dear but at least you did have an audible warning of the spring breaking and it didn't penetrate the tyre sidewall on its way out

Should be a straightforward job and at least you have the nice weather to do it in 🙂

See, I always bring positivity to your posts

  5. Its certainly worth asking the question but generally front discs and pads do wear more heavily than the rear ones.
Not sure what the terrain is that you most often drive (e.g. motorways is fewer braking, but heavier when doing so - town driving lots of braking but mostly light, etc)
