  1. Glad to hear the car is driving fine now Andy

    The filter is in the box under the sump, remove that and fit a new gasket at the same time.

    I would run it for a while to flush through any crud and then drain it down and remove the filter and fresh fluid once more

  2. Great result Andy.....you may need to check the transmission fluid level with the engine running and in gear (cycle through the gears first) and obviously with the handbrake on and the wheels chocked. The level should then be between the marks if not top up.

    p.s. you may have already done this but thought i would mention it just in case

  3. I would definitely get the car serviced as soon as possible.
    It may well be the DPF or EGR blocking up and old engine oil does not help the situation.

    Even if you get the oil and filter changed this would be a start and also get the garage to check the fault codes to see what is logged in memory

  4. Hi Don...welcome to the Forum

    It should be replaceable as an independent component separate from the rack.

    Any decent garage should be able to tackle the replacement but would need wheel alignment resetting afterwards
