I'm sure small blocks of high density foam would work nicely

You should be able to purchase a wheel stud and new nut
The stud will beat out of the back of the hub flange and then just feed the new stud in and tighten down to the correct torque

Hi Helen....welcome to the Club
I think we have now lost the summer and heading for winter
How has the car been mistreated, anything in particular not right with it or is it a whole load of issues?
Good to have you onboard!

I would say that the fault shouldn't have recurred unless the part is faulty (as it may actually be the case).
If the part is faulty then the garage should replace it under warranty (part supplier will pay for the replacement part and labour time)Let us know how you get on with it all
-
Usually the paint can be restored by using T-Cut and a lot of elbow grease.
It does take time but once restored it can be sealed in with a good quality UV protective wax polish which should stop if from recurring in the future
-
I would be tempted to take it to an independent garage to get the job done there at a fraction of the cost.
There are a few good garages in Gosport area so you shouldn't struggle to get it done at a price that suits you if you shop around a bit

Great result Andy!
Thanks for the update, worth knowing about the corrosion issue and worth swapping out if it is that cheap for the replacement part

I would check the fusebox and look for anything untoward especially water ingress or loose/burnt connections
Also check the battery terminals are clean and tight
-
More than likely to be a professional job but would also enhance engine performance slightly if you wish
-
If it didn't have a sensor originally then no problem just to leave the sensor unconnected

Not sure can you send a photo over ?

Have you applied copperslip on the pads where they slide back and forwards in the carrier?
if not, then the pads could be stuck and slightly contacting the disc rather than retracting away from the diskWould need to pop the pads out and coat the contact parts (metal to metal contact only)
-
The pads may need bedding in a bit so driving normally for a period should enhance the brake efficiency
If not then take it back and get them to make any adjustments as necessary

Actually £99 is not a bad price for an original equipment SatNav update
-
The readings should vary depending on load being applied through the injectors....don't think it shows anything sinister though
-
Belt tensioner could be failing and leading to the belt being deflected off the pulleys?

Is the engine turbocharged?
