  1. Welcome to the forum. Glad to see you've come to the light (vauxhall).
  2. Hi there. I am not sure if there is any difference from the UK to Portugal, but most cars here are OBD 2 compliant since 1996. So your Astra should be ok. I bought a basic OBD 2 reader from a local car shop, and it came with a booklet with what the codes mean. I hope this helps.
  3. Depending on the spark plugs, the gap range is between 0.8-1.0mm. This info I found online at "All Corsa forum". Hope this helps.
  4. Hi Adamt_9 Welcome to the forum. You are in the right place for connecting with Vauxhall owners. There is always someone who is willing to offer a helping hand/advice on any questions you may have regarding your vehicle. Hope you have many miles of trouble free motoring.
  5. Hi John, I've just done a Google search regarding your problem. There is a reset sequence, but some were also saying that it could be a fault where the car and key have lost contact with each other, so will need reprogramming. I am adding picture of the reset sequence. Its got to be worth a try, and I hope it works for you.
  6. Welcome to the forum. If you post your issues on here, there is probably someone that could help solve it. Or give you an idea. What type of issue do you have?
  7. Hi there, I have a petrol automatic, and I always apply handbrake and knock it into neutral whilst waiting at the lights. I was led to believe years ago, that keeping it in gear whilst holding it on the braking system can put strain on the gears, as they obviously want to be driving. I have felt the "bump effect", but i just put it down to not having the revs right. Regards Andy.
  8. Hi there, and welcome to the forum. Hope you are enjoying your Grandland Elite.
  9. Welcome to the forum. Good to hear the feedback on your Zafira. I've heard good reviews from other sources about Zafiras being a great vehicle, and like you said, " does what it says on the tin.."
  10. Sounds like you've got a good car. Look forward to seeing those pictures.
  11. The worst hour ever. But worth it. Here's to another year of Happy motoring.
  12. Well all work done, and now for the dreaded mot, had to give her a nice wash down before I take her.
  13. Hi there, yes I do try to keep the old girl going. I was lucky when I bought her, as she'd been kept by the same family, father to son to father, then I acquired her. So a good service and repair history too. I've been doing bits ready for the dreaded mot, which I am going to try and book tomorrow. Once that's out of the way, I'll be preparing for a cambelt change. I've never done one before, so a little nervous. I am hoping that it isn't too bad a job. Have a feeling I will be doing water pump as well, got a little leak in that area. Wish me luck.
  14. Hi I had this problem with my Astra when I bought it. It turned out to be the Heater Blower Motor Resistor. It was an awkward job to do, but once replaced, all controls were back working as they should. If you have a Haynes manual for your Corsa, it should show you where it is situated. On my Astra, it is at the bottom of the heater motor on the passenger side. It just plugs into the motor casing, and has electrical connection. Hope this helps. Andy.
  15. Hi Vincente, its nice to hear that you chose Vauxhall for your transport. Or is it an Opel? Hope the Zafira serves you well. Regards Andy
  16. Hi Paul, and welcome to the club. Good to hear that you are enjoying your Vauxhall experience. We hope your wife has chose a nice name for the car. Happy motoring. Andy
  17. Well finally got wishbones and both shocks all replaced. A few other little jobs to do, and then I can see about getting an mot booked. Looking all tidy under the front now.
  18. Welcome to the forum, so nice to hear of how people are enjoying their cars. I've had an Astra G auto for the last 4 years, and absolutely love it. Keep up the happy motoring, and stick some pictures on here when you get a chance.
  19. Hi there, is the damage easily fixable, and would it be a cheaper option than replacing whole car?
  20. Wow an Astra F, and i thought my G was getting on a bit. Looking forward to seeing some pictures. And having a recordable history too. Well done for saving it.
  21. A Merry Christmas to you too. And to all the members, may 2024 be a fun filled year.
  22. Thank you for that irmscher. Its been bugging me for quite some time now. It would also explain why the speedo is very erratic when I first pull away of a morning. Looks like I'll be sorting out a new bearing in the new year. Thanks again, and Merry Christmas. Regards Andy
  23. Hi there, is there any trapped or broken wires in the loom going into the door, and is it just the one door giving you problems.
  24. Oh yes, your mind of Knowledge will be sought of by all concerned. Welcome aboard. I could probably think of some questions for you, but not tonight.
