Losing power
Hi.....welcome to the Forum If it has a turbocharged engine then sometimes the variable vanes become gummed up with carbon through lack of revs to keep everything clean and moving. You can buy a cleaner to run through the turbo to clean it up and a good blast helps to shift the carbon. Also, it could be an Air Mass Meter (MAF sensor) fault which is causing the loss of power. https://autoevoke.com/index.php?/news/forums/guide-to-maf-sensors-r134/ A scan of the fault code memory should reveal some more information as to what is going on

Acceleration
It sounds like a driveshaft problem but i would definitely take it into a garage to have it checked out as it doesn't sound good

Newbie quick hi
Hi Phil....welcome to the Forum Its a fine car and should do what it says on the tin 🙂

Code reader
Hi....welcome to the forum The easiest way to check glow plugs is with a multimeter and check the resistance of each one, they should all be roughly the same. The one with a different resistance is probably the faulty one

Zafira A Cooling Fan Issue
Glad to hear your positive result and cheap part as well ! I would give the engine a good blast and see if that clears the lambda faults, sometimes thats all they need

Adding Reverse Camera on Combo xl
Hi .... welcome to the forum It would certainly need a power supply from the reverse light bulb to make it live when reverse is selected but without seeing a circuit diagram to know whether this is enough to communicate with the display (e.g. bluetooth connection ?) Let us know how you get on with it

Zafira A Cooling Fan Issue
There would be two lambdas, one for upstream and other downstream of the cat. The upstream one calculates the fuel mix and the downstream one reads the efficiency through the cat and feeds back accordingly Hopefully the replacement CTS will do the job

Vauxhall Classics - Recommended Auctions?
Hi ..... welcome to the Forum Shame you have to get shot of it as these cars are getting rarer by the day. I'm sure there would be lots of interest if you put it on eBay and watch the bidding to gain an idea of worth

Zafira A Cooling Fan Issue
Hi....welcome to the Forum I would start with the coolant temperature sensor which is normally located on the top of the engine near to the thermostat housing area and within the cylinder head. Firstly I would check the plug going to it isn't broken or corroded. The cooling fan switch should only run the cooling fan and not provide any feedback to the gauge. The thermostat shouldn't be an issue regarding the fan starting up from cold and also the gauge but its worth checking that all coolant hoses are similar temperature when running. Let us know what you find

Radiator hose for a Vauxhall astra 1.3 litre 58 plate diesel
Hi Vinny.....welcome to the Forum here is a selection of radiator hoses depending on the type you have https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=2008+vauxhall+astra+diesel+radiator+hose&_sacat=0 I tend to look at the correct one and try to get a part number from it and then do a search for that

car will not start
Hi....welcome to the Forum Sounds like the system has lost its memory P2102 Featured snippet from the web OBD II Fault Code The throttle motor is controlled by the engine computer (PCM). If the PCM does not see the requested movement from the throttle motor, code P2102 will set. The PCM may also put the engine into "limp home mode", limiting the available power from the engine to prevent unwanted acceleration. I would ensure the fuse is securely located in position and the battery is fully charged and then try turning it over with the throttle pedal moving up and down smoothly to relearn the settings

car with spanner light on- oil service reset.
Hi Ray....welcome to the Forum Sometimes the reset doesn't always work first time, think you have to press the brake pedal. Worth trying another reset procedure to see if it lists any further instructions, had one in recently that did the same and refused to play ball so kept trying until it went

Engine swap
Hi Ray.....welcome to the forum Not too sure to be honest but I'm sure siggyv6cdti would have some idea as he is very adept at Vauxhall engine and transmission swaps I'm sure that physically it will go in but its all the ancillary stuff and coding it all up that would be an issue Let us know what you find out

Vauxhall vectra ignition
It may be difficult to remove the barrel without the key unless you remove the whole lock assembly by removing the two blind screws (with missing heads) underneath the unit

Hi....welcome to the Forum If you can't get a replacement one then getting one made up by a specialist pipe & tubing company may be an alternative and cheaper option. I quite often get out of stock parts made up using a local company and always works out much cheaper than I thought

Hi...welcome to the Forum Not sure about pattern panels being available much nowadays but a skilled panel beater could probably make up some patch panels to repair areas of corrosion. As for exterior panels such as doors and wings then eBay or scrapyards may be your only choice

NEW TO CLUB
It could be an injector fault or as you say, it could be wear on that particular cylinder. I would clean all the components and reassemble if you can't find any further issues with the engine. A cheap Boroscope camera which runs through your phone should allow you to examine the individual cylinders for excess build up of oil or undue wear.

NEW TO CLUB
Hi Steve....welcome to the forum Does the oil smell of diesel, e.g. is the fuel going past the rings and into the oil? If so, then the oil will be diluted and require changing immediately as this can lead to ingestion within the combustion (runaway engine) which in the long run is far cheaper to replace the oil than the engine. Alternatively, it sounds also like the fuel return is blocked, (fuel filter, return valve, etc) Let us know what you find out

Sintra
Hi Jeff....welcome to the forum Good for you! it's got to be worth keeping on the road with numbers that low and as you say if you can keep it maintained and on the road and it serves a useful purpose then go for it! I personally like working on Vauxhalls as most jobs are easy enough to tackle and parts are cheap as well. Good to have you onboard and feel free to post up some pics of the Sintra
