  1. Hi Marc....welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard!
  2. I believe a whole exhaust system is cheap enough and would be worth fitting the whole system from the cat back
  3. Sounds more like a CV joint than a differential which would normally make a noise in both directions if worn bearings. Check that the wheel bearings are showing signs of wear on all wheels
  4. It is a case of undoing everything you find and working through it methodically but unfortunately, it is easy to break bolts which is par for the course Good luck with it all
  5. Great mileage Andy, make sure you get a photo of the momentous occasion Just goes to show how well built they were all those years ago and still going strong
  6. It is advisable to try to get the earth point as close to the vehicle battery earth as possible. Alternatively, a good clean chassis earth is acceptable but maybe consider running an insulated earth cable through to the battery and at least you can tap into it any point in the van to obtain a good reliable earth for items in the van that are high current consumers.
  7. As long as it has a rolling diameter that is the same as the wheels/tyres fitted to your car then it will work Check also the wheel nut PCD (fitment of wheels to the car e.g. distance between each hole for the wheel nut and the quantity e.g. four or five holes)
  8. You can purchase new software updates through your local Vauxhall dealership but it won't be cheap. Sometimes a cheaper option would be to use phone based navigation apps such as TomTom or Waze
  9. This sounds like the exhaust has a slight leak which is causing the ticking sound on tickover (split has increased in size with temperature increase) Typically this split could be located in the exhaust manifold or otherwise it could be a joint/gasket located in the exhaust near the front end. Have someone firmly place a rag over the rear tailpipe and lay down beside the car with the engine running (in a well ventilated area of course) and listen out for a 'hissing' noise and thats where the exhaust gas leak will be located.
  10. C0760 code possible causes - Faulty Left Rear Low Tire Pressure Sensor Left Rear Low Tire Pressure Sensor harness is open or shorted Left Rear Low Tire Pressure Sensor circuit poor electrical connection How do I fix code C0760 code? Check the "Possible Causes" listed above. Visually inspect the related wiring harness and connectors. Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded connector's pins.
  11. I have used dashcams that have Wifi built in and this has affected radio and satnav reception as it causes interference. If your dash cam has Wifi capability then switch that function off and see if it has an effect
  12. How about a Cascada.....great looking car
  13. There are a few kits out there ...... here is a link to a selection: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=vauxhall+astra+diesel+single+mass+flywheel&selvel=Car Make%3AVauxhall%2CModel%3AAstra%2CCars Year%3A2007%2CVariant%3ADiesel%20Hatchback%2CCars Type%3A1.9%20CDTI%2016V%2CBodyStyle%3AFWD%20Mk%20V%20(H)%20A04%2CT92%2CT98%2CPlat_Gen%3AMK%20V%20(H)%2CEngine%3A1910cc%2088KW%20120HP%20Z%2019%20DTJ&selcontext=productType%3ACAR_AND_TRUCK%2CpartType%3APARTS%2CqueryType%3ABY_VEHICLE
  14. certainly worth trying as this could affect the flow balance in the EGR
  15. There should be a fixing on there somewhere, bonded with glue or is secured with a u-bolt
  16. You may need to reprogramme some of the ECU's and also the battery voltage setting
  17. I just had to look it up as have never heard of Britoil It does worry me that the likes of AliBaba and Amazon list it on their site which is usually reserved for cheap or counterfeit products I personally would not use it if I cared for my car and then go to the next cheapest brand that is a reputable make
  18. I wonder if it could be the other fault.....emissions error? This could be caused by a small air leak that may be drawing through a gasket or somewhere that has been disturbed when fitting parts. Check all rubber hoses in the engine bay for splits, perishing and security
  19. Try these guys https://www.autotronics.co.uk/repair/services/instrument-cluster-repair/cars-trucks-instrument-cluster-repair/vauxhall-instrument-cluster-repair/vauxhall-omega
  20. Sounds like historic fault codes and now they have cleared should be resolved
  21. Hi Bex.....welcome to the Club Generally, most dealerships should periodically give deals on servicing, worth enquiring with your local dealer and see if there is anything being offered.
  22. The air should eventually rise to the highest point which could be the coolant expansion tank. If it continues to draw air into the system then replace the coolant pressure cap which may be below par
  23. Hi....welcome to the Club 88 degrees Centigrade is the normal opening temperature for the thermostat Anything up and around that figure for an engine operating temperature is fine. If it is a lower coolant pipe then that is also fine as it is circulating in cold air and lower part of radiator. If the hose feels soft (e.g not slightly compressed with coolant) within it the maybe you have air trapped in the system
  24. There is a special reset for the oil quality (once topped up) and maybe it wasn't reset at last oil change. Look up Oil Quality reset procedure on YouTube and go from there
  25. Sounds like someone has changed the wheels for a wider combination. Maybe better to fit them to the rear? But if the work fine (e.g. good handling) then maybe best to leave them on there. Otherwise, next tyre change you can revert back to 215 size (maybe cheaper as well)
