Ooh, thats a big drive down to this area but it is worthwhile if you stay over as the New Forest is absolutely stunning. Was at Beaulieu yesterday for a Jaguar show and luckily the weather was superb, although there is the Motor Museum to wander around if it is rubbish weather

The injectors fire with a signal from the crank and cam sensors Check also the system/fuel pump relay otherwise not sure why it is not running Have you tried EasyStart to see if the engine runs okay?

It may be a feature of the phone as they only go to a maximum level (unless you override it) to protect your hearing

I would imagine some universal heater hose (I believe they sell it in Halfords) would work in this situation. I may need to be longer and have more of a loop as it is not preformed to the exact shape

The control units will be programmed to the individual cars and won't be transferable What is the fault code you are getting for the engine fault?

Some 1.7 diesel engines were prone to stalling at low revs or when pulling away from rest. Vauxhall issued an in-service modification to re-map the ECU and most were fixed during routine services. If this trait is evident its more likely that it slipped the net.

Hi Andy Hope you are stating well? First thing I can think of is it could be the air conditioning fan running as this would do if its switched on as the engine is started and runs to maintain the temperature. Try switching the AC off if it is running all the time. After that then I would presume it is the coolant temperature sensor that is giving a false reading

I would be tempted to disconnect the battery negative terminal (assuming it is fully charged already) and leave it off for 15 minutes then reconnect. See if that reinitialises the instrument panel then

The sensors do not have to be original equipment but of reputable quality which Bosch are. The only other thing to check is if there are exhaust leaks that are causing the sensors to run high on Lambda. Put a rag over the exhaust pipe with the engine running (outside in fresh air of course) and listen for any hissing which would indicate an air leak

Wow! something as simple as that, I didn't even think of suggesting that as a possible cause as being so new and also would imagine it had tyre pressure sensor fitted. Amazing what difference that can make and rectifiable at a cost of 20 pence in a tyre inflator. Thanks for letting us know the outcome

Let us know how you get on with it But I would be tempted to go to Protyre or Tyreland as they have the correct equipment and training to carry out the checks

I would firstly check the correct type of bulbs are fitted as an incorrect one can 'backfeed' the lighting system Check one side and compare with the other side as should have the same bulbs

It sounds like an alignment problem Would be worth driving it to an Alignment centre (ProTyre for example) and get them to check the measurements to see if this is the issue

Wait to hear the outcome, hopefully it won't be too long and drive you insane

By swapping the sensors around and the same one still comes up with the fault suggests its not the sensor that is faulty, I would be tempted to look at the connector and wiring for that sensor (vehicle side not sensor side connectors)
