Need some help i own a 64plate vauxhall insignia cdti vrx line and have noticed a damp smell and when ive looked its coming from the passager foot side and carpet is wet ive looked underneath and on engine bay and can't see any holes or cracks in pipe does anybody no what it could be thanks

Do you have a sunroof??

If you do, it might be worth checking the drain holes in the front corners of it to see if they are blocked. These drains normally are routed down the A pillar and can cause water to seep in to the footwear.

What are the door rubbers like? Maybe heavy rain is getting in that way. When you looked in engine bay for any leaky pipes. Did you check the coolant level? If that is a bit low then maybe a pipe going to heater .

I've checked the coolant level which was a bit low so topped that up, checked all pipes and they look all ok, I had a vectra years ago which did the same and that turned out to be the heater matrix I have noticed that the heater was blowing cold air until I topped it up with water and some antifreeze which has made the heater blow hot air now but still got a wet floor 😡
