  1. That's annoying as you would have to buy a whole set to replace just the one. I don't imagine anyone would steal the one wheel if it didn't have a locking nut on it though
  2. Hi Andy I would carry out the oil change and see what it does afterwards. I imagine the oil has lost some of its viscosity (check the oil does not smell of petrol) Let us know how you get on with it Cheers, Trev
  3. Personal choice I suppose but would avoid any 'cheap' alloys as tend to crack easily
  4. Hi....welcome to the Forum Usually, there are parts available on eBay to make up your own system. Usual things like Samco style induction hose, AMM housing, cone filter, etc....worth a try and probably a lot cheaper as well
  5. Hi....welcome to the Forum To be fair, I'm not entirely sure what else will fit but it may be worth locating a secondhand replacement engine and replacing the timing chain assembly before fitting so that you know it will last more than 40k
  6. Hi....welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard
  7. Should be secured at both ends by self tapping screws and also attached to a crossmember which should unbolt (from memory!)
  8. It sounds like it is not reading either the handbrake or park sensor switches so therefore is not releasing the key. Maybe worth trying to cycle it from park to drive and back again. Also, keep your foot on the brake pedal as well. Here is some more info I have found for this fault:
  9. Hi Alison....welcome to the Forum You can place an advert here for no cost if you would like to https://www.vauxhallownersclub.com/forums/forum/22-vauxhalls-for-sale/
  10. Hi Mike....welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard
  11. Hi Nathan.....welcome to the Forum Glad to hear you're contributing to keeping the old cars on the road....as you say, not many around now Good to have you onboard
  12. Hi Timmy Just done a bit of research and these guys can sort your problem very cheaply https://shop.intellilinkmods.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=51
  13. I would take the pipe to a pipe and hose repairer and they should be able to make one up for you at very little cost We have one in Dorset - Thread and Pipes who can make anything to get you out of a predicament
  14. Maybe someone needed one and helped themselves possibly
  15. Usually on the front bumper....have a look through the grill at the lower half (or even from underneath if the lower cover isn't hiding it) and you should see a connector attached to the inside of the bumper
  16. ah sorry....my mistake I have only ever seen leads hardwired to the base on other vehicle aerials but not sure on this one, sorry!
  17. Hi Dave...welcome back! Does sound like it could be a split in the washer line or become detached from a union as you suspect. Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  18. Hi .... welcome to the Forum Here is an image of the wiring kit and shows the adapter for the aerial
  19. Hi....welcome to the Forum Here is an image of the fusebox location for a Frontera B, which I imagine may be similar in layout, but I would also think there may be auxiliary fuses under the dashboard somewhere
  20. AndyR . wow, that's harsh on the wallet....I wonder if this is a deliberate act from the manufacturers to sell more injectors at huge cost
  21. I would check the pollen (cabin) filter for cleanliness as if this is blocked up then no cold air will circulate through to the cabin area
  22. Haven't bought anything from them personally but they have been around for a while
  23. Hi....welcome to the Forum You could try this https://www.iceboxauto.com/vauxhall-opel-insignia-2008-2011-android-8-v5753 Far better than the standard in about every way and you can mirror your phone to it as well
  24. oh well it was worth a try....onto plan b now then
  25. Hi Voxy.....welcome to the Forum I can only imagine it is suffering from Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) which used to occur in older cars and was caused by electrical 'noise' from the alternator and ignition system. The way around it was to fit a Suppressor (which is basically a Capacitor) which then dampened the 'noise' and this cured it. You should still be able to get one in a motor accessory store and fit it to the alternator to start with and see if this cures it Let us know how you get on with it
