  1. Top right corner of the photos (shiny metal pipe)
  2. Hi.....welcome to the Club Nice car and photographs very nicely
  3. Seems such a waste of vehicle parts that are now impossible to source Not entirely sure what the answer is to build up a stock of parts, old Vauxhall garages may have parts lying around that they would be keen to get rid of
  4. Hi Andy Hope you are stating well? First thing I can think of is it could be the air conditioning fan running as this would do if its switched on as the engine is started and runs to maintain the temperature. Try switching the AC off if it is running all the time. After that then I would presume it is the coolant temperature sensor that is giving a false reading
  5. You could try an aftermarket silicon hose https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2499334.m570.l1313&_nkw=silicon+hose&_sacat=131090 Far better and cheaper than original equipment part
  6. I would be tempted to disconnect the battery negative terminal (assuming it is fully charged already) and leave it off for 15 minutes then reconnect. See if that reinitialises the instrument panel then
  7. I cannot imagine it would be a straight swap but have you considered an aftermarket stereo? https://www.iceboxauto.com/iba-vauxhall-entertainment-systems#/specFilters=2!#-!152
  8. The sensors do not have to be original equipment but of reputable quality which Bosch are. The only other thing to check is if there are exhaust leaks that are causing the sensors to run high on Lambda. Put a rag over the exhaust pipe with the engine running (outside in fresh air of course) and listen for any hissing which would indicate an air leak
  9. Wow! something as simple as that, I didn't even think of suggesting that as a possible cause as being so new and also would imagine it had tyre pressure sensor fitted. Amazing what difference that can make and rectifiable at a cost of 20 pence in a tyre inflator. Thanks for letting us know the outcome
  10. Let us know how you get on with it But I would be tempted to go to Protyre or Tyreland as they have the correct equipment and training to carry out the checks
  11. I would firstly check the correct type of bulbs are fitted as an incorrect one can 'backfeed' the lighting system Check one side and compare with the other side as should have the same bulbs
  12. It sounds like an alignment problem Would be worth driving it to an Alignment centre (ProTyre for example) and get them to check the measurements to see if this is the issue
  13. Wait to hear the outcome, hopefully it won't be too long and drive you insane
  14. It might be worth listing it in the For Sale section of this forum
  15. By swapping the sensors around and the same one still comes up with the fault suggests its not the sensor that is faulty, I would be tempted to look at the connector and wiring for that sensor (vehicle side not sensor side connectors)
  16. Had a similar issue with an Alfa Romeo that used to make similar noises usually in the dry rather than when it had been raining. I used to spray Silicon spray liberally over the rubber bushes and the noise would disappear for quite a while, but always returned 🙂
  17. Most clutch plates can handle a stage 1 tune but when power is loaded onto it then the cover/pressure plate sometimes does not clamp sufficiently to deliver the load
  18. It would be a temperature sensed fan running as it needs to in order to maintain a constant operating temperature at all times
  19. Moved post to For Sale section to promote response
  20. Not sure about the compatibility of the locks but it may at least be a short term measure to avoid the door flying open? Maybe also you could strip down both parts and make a good one out of the two?
  21. you should be able to replace the lead but you may also be able to source an adapter possibly?
  22. Thanks for the very detailed guide to fitting the tow bar electrics. You seem to have done it very methodically and very neat installation.
  23. Please let us know as it would be good to find out for future reference if it is an issue with sump gaskets on this model or a defective oil filter brand
  24. can you swap the sensors (e.g. the lead connections) so that the fault if present with the sensor is switched to number 1 and this will confirm a fault
  25. I would recommend anything that is manufactured in UK or Europe, obviously avoid the cheap options as they are cheap for a reason. I guess you could source the parts yourself and get the garage to fit the new ones, especially if they have failed in less than a year they would fit it cheaper for you
