  1. I wonder if it is an alignment issue with the lamps? They should put out a great deal of light but if the sensors on the windscreen are not calibrated correctly then they could be 'dipping' or even adapting to some other situation which could show the lights in the incorrect position on the road. I would ask for an ADAS calibration check by the dealers
  2. Hi Andy Have you pulled out any fault codes from the ECU? I wonder if there could be another fault that is showing as EGR but is being caused by another issue
  3. Hi jimlowe ...... welcome to the Club Glad you are happy with your Vauxhall, they can be great cars if maintained correctly. Good to have you onboard!
  4. It sounds like the fuel cap is no longer venting. Perhaps the wrong one is fitted or the vapour vent/recirculating system is blocked. Has any new parts been fitted since before this issue started?
  5. Hi....welcome to the Club I would look for an air leak especially around the intake trunking area. Additionally, look at other serviceable items which may need replacing. In my distant memory there was an issue with the Single Point Injection system and a similar fault but seem to recall it was unregulated air but worth doing a google search on the injection system faults from that era
  6. Possibly 'lower valance' trim
  7. I don't think you'll get too much increase on the 2.0 litre as it was quite a lazy engine and not a high revving lump. I would look at exhaust intake and ignition to try to improve engine response
  8. Not sure if the engine goes into limp mode but if not then I would probably ignore the lamp if it is not affecting the performance There was an issue I recall from many years ago and the sensor cable was wrapped in tin foil and connected to earth so if gave a shield from any electrical interference that could create 'noise' in the sensor readings
  9. I would definitely start with an oil change and OE oil filter to see if this eliminates the rattle
  10. Maybe worth stripping the rear brakes to ensure the pads are not sticking in the carrier and then reset the handbrake if necessary
  11. Sounds like you have a few issues there. I would first try to programme the injector to the vehicle and then attempt to statically purge the DPF and if any better then take for a good blast to ensure all is clear
  12. Hi.....welcome to the Club I would firstly replace the fuel filter and ensure that the housing is also in good order (no leaks and seals good)
  13. Hi Matthew....welcome to the Club I would remove the door card to see what is occurring in there and go from there. If you are not confident removing the door card then most local garages should be able to remove it for you and diagnose the issue
  14. I imagine the delay is across the board for most vehicles nowadays....take your pick - Covid, Brexit, Semiconductors, etc I guess it will wing its way to you in its own good time.
  15. Hi....welcome to the Club and Happy New Year to you also. If the light is red then it is something that needs immediate attention, if it amber then not so urgent, more advisory. It would benefit from the fault codes being read for a more accurate diagnosis....most garages should be able to do this. Let us know what codes you find
  16. Sounds like head gasket failure if the coolant is mixing with the oil Would have it checked as soon as possible to avoid damaging the engine
  17. It could be air in the system or a worn clutch cover diaphragm Worth trying to select 2nd gear and then shifting to first.....happened a lot on older french cars and was a good way of selecting reverse or first gears
  18. Radiator pressure cap may have failed and not allowing the pressure to build up without releasing it....try replacing that first
  19. Eurocarparts are usually very cheap for replacement alternators especially when they release a massive discount code
  20. Hi....welcome to the Club I would definitely change it as the cost to rectify the damage will be 10 times that of replacing it before it has broken. You should be able to get it cheaper if you shop around and ensure that all components such as tensioners, idler pulleys, water pump, etc are changed at the same time
  21. There are a few listed here for 2016 models https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=2016+vauxhall+insignia+debadged+front+grill&_sacat=0
  22. Hi Paul.....welcome to the Club I'm sure the dealership could supply one but at a cost no doubt. Alternatively, a local breakers yard may result in some success
  23. Agree with AndyR especially as the mornings are getting a lot colder now, this is when the battery will deliver the power to where it is needed most and some sub-systems fall a little further down the scale
  24. Hi....welcome to the Club I would suggest as it is now a 5 year old car that serviceable components such as fuel filter and spark plugs would need replacing (if they have not already been done in advance) and see if the performance and economy return. start there and see how you get on
  25. Have you tried swapping components from cylinder 3 to cylinder 2 and seeing if the fault swaps cylinders on the scanner. At least then you can eliminate the components or not. Also, check its not the injector or wiring at fault
