  1. Is there power going to the unit (does it light up at all)?
  2. Number plate LED lamps are easy enough to replace just the bulb for an aftermarket one from Halfords Indicators can be more problematic as they need to have resistors fitted to ensure the flash rate is correct
  3. If is occurs at a specific temperature then I would advise changing the Coolant Temperature Sensor as this would cause similar issues at a specific temperature. Not too expensive to replace and should be an easy enough job to do
  4. Just started a new season of Sons of Anarchy and thoroughly enjoying the storyline
  5. we haven't had a decent snow storm here since the 1980's in Bournemouth
  6. Glad to hear the car is driving fine now Andy The filter is in the box under the sump, remove that and fit a new gasket at the same time. I would run it for a while to flush through any crud and then drain it down and remove the filter and fresh fluid once more
  7. It may be coming through the rear light unit as there is a gasket behind it that shrinks over time. Worth taking out and sealing with silicon and then refitting to see if that makes a difference
  8. I guess the best place to look is Wikipedia as they have reliable information on the models Also, How Many Left. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ lets you know the volumes produced of a certain model and how many are left on the road
  9. Hi.....welcome to the Forum Here is a link to Castrol's website which shows the oil specs you need not only for the engine but also gear oils are listed in the side column https://applications.castrol.com/oilselector/en_gb/c/search
  10. Hi Dave ..... welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard!
  11. It's probably leaking from the base of the windscreen. Best diagnostic method is to use a smoke generator which if placed in the footwell will show where smoke is leaking through
  12. Great result Andy.....you may need to check the transmission fluid level with the engine running and in gear (cycle through the gears first) and obviously with the handbrake on and the wheels chocked. The level should then be between the marks if not top up. p.s. you may have already done this but thought i would mention it just in case
  13. Damn that snow Not much down here at all (Bournemouth) Have you got gaskets with it as well Andy?
  14. Hi....welcome to the Forum Usually there is a build spec sheet in with the service book and pack. If not there, then possibly contact the dealers and they be able to print out a spec sheet for your car
  15. Another winner! always something simple like that and lovely when it resolves an annoying fault at zero cost
  16. Wow! that certainly looks grubby oil and not like the cherry red fluid that replaces it. Job well done Andy....waited a long time for this
  17. there's always wheeler dealers to give you enthusiasm to do the job
  18. You would need ride height sensors wired into the car to adjust the beam deflection when driving. It will also fail an MOT otherwise
  19. I believe there are a few to choose from Best to check with Eurocarparts.com and enter your reg number to narrow it down
  20. I would definitely get the car serviced as soon as possible. It may well be the DPF or EGR blocking up and old engine oil does not help the situation. Even if you get the oil and filter changed this would be a start and also get the garage to check the fault codes to see what is logged in memory Let us know how you get on with it all
  21. Started watching the next series of Marcella and The Bay....quite enthralling
  22. haha...will hold you to changing the gear oil Andy, after all this time....chances are it will rain this week though
  23. Hi Don...welcome to the Forum It should be replaceable as an independent component separate from the rack. Any decent garage should be able to tackle the replacement but would need wheel alignment resetting afterwards
