Hi.....welcome to the Forum
Here is a link to Castrol's website which shows the oil specs you need not only for the engine but also gear oils are listed in the side column
https://applications.castrol.com/oilselector/en_gb/c/search
It's probably leaking from the base of the windscreen.
Best diagnostic method is to use a smoke generator which if placed in the footwell will show where smoke is leaking through
Great result Andy.....you may need to check the transmission fluid level with the engine running and in gear (cycle through the gears first) and obviously with the handbrake on and the wheels chocked. The level should then be between the marks if not top up.
p.s. you may have already done this but thought i would mention it just in case
Hi....welcome to the Forum
Usually there is a build spec sheet in with the service book and pack.
If not there, then possibly contact the dealers and they be able to print out a spec sheet for your car
I would definitely get the car serviced as soon as possible.
It may well be the DPF or EGR blocking up and old engine oil does not help the situation.
Even if you get the oil and filter changed this would be a start and also get the garage to check the fault codes to see what is logged in memory
Let us know how you get on with it all
Hi Don...welcome to the Forum
It should be replaceable as an independent component separate from the rack.
Any decent garage should be able to tackle the replacement but would need wheel alignment resetting afterwards
Hi
Glad you managed to resolve it.
It happens on Nissan and Renault where the button actually comes away from the circuit board and can be soldered back on.
Had the same problem on my Honda CR-V and managed to find one that switched with the ignition but can't remember which one...was probably cigar lighter or similar
Whose seen a decent series to watch over lockdown?
Running out of programmes to watch now as seen so many in the last year on Netflix
Leave your suggestions below, thanks!
It could be a fault with the control panel so maybe just swap it out and see if more functions work afterwards.
Replaced one on a Honda recently and it worked fine without any programming
There are usually lots of mods to carry over to a vehicle which was not originally equipped with Xenon.
One of the major components which you may not have on your vehicle is the suspension ride height sensors which will dip the beams when a load is applied to the vehicle.
If these aren't fitted then it may prove more of a task
