  1. It should be capable of opening and closing when battery voltage is supplied to it but it is usually cycled via the ECU. Try putting 12 volts to from the battery but careful not to short out anything directly back to the battery (risk of fire, explosion, etc)
  2. The usual method is to hold down the unlock button until the windows drop. Possibly try this with the ignition switched on to initiate this feature to the vehicle
  3. As far as I remember i think you will need to remove it access the bolt doesn't mean it has to go back in though
  4. I would change the crankshaft sensor and also look at the camshaft sensor as well if in doubt (quite cheap to purchase and relatively easy to fit as well
  5. I would check that the service lamp has been properly reset. It has to been done with a scan tool as the oil needs resetting to mileage and this requires the scanner to do this.
  6. Shame it didn't work out of the box Andy, it may have been the incorrect part number for that engine? Maybe worth posting it in the Parts For Sale section of this forum to see if its any good to any members
  7. Hi Andy Can you take photo of the plug so it shows the location of it Cheers, Trevor
  8. I would say it sounds more like carbon build up in the EGR and intake system. Using a fuel additive as well as an EGR cleaner or even a Terraclean on the engine would help cure this issue
  9. If the car hasn't had much use over lockdown then the vehicle battery could be failing, worth having it checked to eliminate this as the primary cause
  10. You can't go wrong with any NextBase cameras and specs are highest in the market with keen prices as well. Worth getting the hard-wire kit to go with it
  11. Try these guys....they have a branch in the Midlands Try discount code: AUTO15 it may still work on their site
  12. Good luck with your search.....can't remember the last I saw one on the road
  13. https://haynes.com/en-gb/search?query=2006 Vauxhall Zafira
  14. Findapart online breakers is rather good and worth trying as they do all the searching for you
  15. Halfords sell double din stereos and usually heavily discount them occasionally. They also sell the fascia plates and adapter leads to suit the vehicle and head unit
  16. Let us know the answer if you eventually find a solution
  17. Eurocarparts would probably be the cheapest ... just wait for the best discount code to come up (e.g. 45% off is quite good)
  18. Great news! hopefully no long term damage resulted from the oil filter housing being damaged. Although, I can't see the connection with that and poor running unless it was being starved of oil?
  19. It could be battery health/condition as if not fully charged it will knock out this feature. Give the car an extended run and see if it comes back online after that
  20. Did you ever find out where the spring goes into and did the issue resolve itself after that?
  21. Thanks for the feedback. I take it have already given the dashboard a good bash to see if there are any loose connections
  22. I would try Halfords as they have rolls of hose that may be suitable and be flexible enough to achieve the bend you require
  23. Sounds like a strong possibility but if the BCM had changed I would have thought they would have coded the key in. Me personally, I would live with it rather than going to the expense of coding in units and keys, etc
