  1. i have had plenty of Vaxuhalls over the years and 3 vectra b's - previouly they were just workhorses but last year i got my hads on a nearly mint N plate 1.8 gls with 36k miles and i love it. I have taken her to FOTU 2022 & 2023 and she should be on the odfs youtube channel in the coming weeks https://www.youtube.com/@DougieSRi According to www.howmanyleft.co.uk there are 2 Vectra n Reg's alive built in 1995 and 34 from 1996 (some will be p reg's) so i will make it my lifes work to find the other n plates - can people please let me know if you have one or if you are aware of one? It would be great if we can get a few together at some stage

  2. Thanks for the help. I'm using a cheap ELM unit with Torque Pro, not many options for injector pulse widths. Today I whipped out the coils, plugs and injectors. All looked identical. Checked the tops of the pistons. Cyl 1 & 3 have a layer of carbon deposit. Cyl 2 is very clean, indicating a hot burn to me. Both the injectors looked identical. I've swapped injector 2 & 3 to see if the misfire moves / the top of the piston cleans up. Not sure the car has been trying to compensate with extending the duty cycle but would be cool to see that sort of info.

  3. I wonder if this would be the same on the mk4 (G) as well. Might have a look tomorrow.

  4. It is definitely a car that will stand out in a crowd. It looks longer, and sleaker.

  5. Thanks for your comments. I must repeat the very important APPLY THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE BEFORE REMOVING THE BATTERY because I DID forget to do that and the result was PANIC. My front garden has a slight incline down towards my house, back of car was facing house. I was unbolting the gear change bracket and gear changed to neutral and car started to move backwards. I had NO CONTROL to stop it and no time to switch back to Park and result luckily was only dent in garage door. But just think what could have happened. Suggest also chock a couple of wheels with bricks. Do you have any useful contacts at Vauxhall so we can get those cheapo plastic parts FREE. Regards Dave
