Has anyone had to use the stellantis warranty for excessive use of oil. I had a new pcv valve fitted under this warranty but didn't cure the problem. Dealer now suggests a piston ring clean ( using an addative in the oil that doesn't effect the cam belt ) at a cost of £500. This they say is not covered as it is a procedure.

Trying to find a number to check if this correct isn't easy. Anyone had a similar problem

I know of oil additives that will clean the carbon from the piston rings and this can restore compression and cylinder sealing but it is just something you add to the oil and run for a while and then empty out and refill with fresh oil - but this is a £25 bottle of snake oil - which may or may not resolve your issue.
