Coming late to the party, but unless you sorted it out, I got the Topdon AD600 from Ebay for £139, has loads of options and lifetime updates, not to mention you can use it on other brands as well, unlike other companies which sell them with car-specific coding (though to be fair those may pick up on more specific codes)

Thanks to your review of the scanner - they all seem to have a lot more functions now than just reading codes. I use an iCarSoft scanner and you can recode, reset, functions (such as force DPF), regular software updates and so much more for 10 makes of vehicle and around £130 to buy.
I believe the TopDon is also of the same spec and great value for money
