Reverse light problem

I have a 2002 astra convertible 2.2 manual Bertone, the reverse lights don't work, have

checked all electrics and fitted new switch all ok still won,t work any ideas

are you getting current at the bulbs?
earth points may be worth checking or substitute an earth to see if illuminating bulbs

Yes lights work if I press the plunger on the reverse gear switch
