Hi all,   I have had an issue where the linkage cable tore the bush out off the housing, leaving the gearbox jammed in 4th gear.  We found that this left the selector rod detents damaged and allowed this to happen a couple times.    So decided to fit a new box incase of any damage internally.   

 

i now have a leak of transmission fluid coming from somewhere either inside the bell housing or further up as the leak seems to collect between the sump and gearbox face.  any ideas where this could be from?

Is it a new box or reconditioned?
Are you sure the oil is transmission or could it be engine oil?
