Sorry for the question but I’ve been going round in circles for weeks and was hoping that i may get the answer here ?, before i get shot down in flames I’m not 17 and trying to make my 1.0 Corsa faster Lol, does anybody know if the rev limiter can be raised buy 2-3 hundred revs on a BOSCH M1.5.5 0261206169 because my 15 old son races in a 1.0 class and we are hitting the limiter 3/4 down the straight so just need a tiny bit more, thanks for any help that can be offered 🙂

I believe the Motronic units were quite tuneable in their day but not sure if anyone still have remapping software for an older system?
The engine would almost certainly be able to take that minimal increase in revs without any serious damage (e.g. valve bounce, etc)

yeah thanks for the reply... it seems crazy that in this day and age no-one can seem to do it ☹️

try bigger rolling radius tyres

and all that does is make the car slower out of the corners
