ksingh007 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Hello, I have a Zafira C (a Tourer). I find the clutch pedal 'heavy'. I don't know if it is just my specific car, or if anyone else has had this problem. Let me explain further: I had a Zafira B and didn't have this problem. With the Zafira C, the clutch pedal needs to be fully depressed before the ignition will turn on - I mean FULLY - not just to the clutch biting point. I think an elderly person would find it difficult, since the pedal is also heavier / more resistant than on any other car I have driven. Is there a way to 'lighten' the clutch / make it easier to fully press? e.g. lubrication
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 It may be the clutch components (cover/pressure plate) that is heavy. Additionally, there may be corrosion build up on the splines which may it a bit heavier on the clutch depression but that would normally result in clutch dragging (slight delay when pulling away)
