October 26, 20232 yr Hi ,I have a 1.9 TD Vectra, ex ministry of defence car, I have tried to register it with DVLA on the paperwork given from the forces but DVLA say that it wants other confirmation of build date other than the forces papers , is there anyone in the club who can give verification based on the forces letter and vin number that I have, thanks, Steve.
October 30, 20232 yr Local dealership may be able to assist you with the age verification as it should translate from the VIN number build date (depending if it has come from abroad as they sometimes do with the forces)
October 31, 20232 yr Author Hi thanks for the reply ,not sure if the new owners of vauxhall (PSA) group will cater for the older cars ,I shall ask, DVLA said that confirmation from the owners club would suffice as evidence acceptable ,so I'm assuming the club is not able to do this ?
