Hi! I have an issue that seems the exact opposite of any one else’s! Just started happening today. When key in off position in ignition, car tries to start - if I have my foot on clutch it DOES start.

so, if I have engine running as normal, I turn key to off position. Engine goes off then it fires back up again. If I have key out of ignition and put it in with foot on clutch engine will fire up without turning the key.

not a huge problem as I can always completely remove key from ignition but just seems weird! Any suggestions?  2010 Meriva. Many thanks. 

It sounds very much like a faulty ignition switch or relay and I would get this investigated as could be a potential electrical fire risk
