Astra f saloon auto advice needed

Hi all i own a vauxhall astra f 1600 (mk3) on a R plate saloon witch is auto i wont to make it abit quicker with out spending lodes on it dus ent one now the best way to do thing or cood i get peoples idears pleas thanks alot karl webb
