Have recently noticed when my van is running it almost immediately pressurises the coolant hoses it doesn't overheat and there is no water in the oil is this normal or is the head gasket on its way

Hi...welcome to the Forum

It would be worth having a 'combustion sniff test' done on the coolant to determine if there is any combustion gasses present in the coolant suggesting that the head gasket is on its way out.
