  1. Hi.....welcome to the Forum I am surprised that the parts supply is drying up but I can also imagine that the secondhand parts market is quite buoyant also. Good to have you onboard
  2. It won't have an EGR valve
  3. £60 is not bad price and if it makes the car run smoother and more economical then thats a good deal
  4. Sounds like a sensor (or blanking plug) for automatic wiper sensing or similar If you try to upload a photo (as small size as possible) and we can offer a more accurate idea
  5. Hi....welcome to the Forum Fault code 2345a is a boost pressure control circuit fault. Sometimes, it can be from the variable vanes being gummed up in the turbo. Maybe run some cleaning solution through the engine / turbo and give it a good blast which should clear it out
  6. Hi ....welcome to the Forum This is a link to the code but not sure how it relates to your misfire http://c0244.enginecodes.net/ I would independantly remove and inspect each spark plug and see which one is wet to know which cylinder is misbehaving
  7. It sounds like the coil packs or spark plugs are failing under load. You will need to replace the coil packs with QUALITY replacement parts and also the Spark Plugs will need to be set to the precise gaps and torque to the correct setting, otherwise the fault will continue in the future.

  9. Looking forward to the update Cliff
  10. Good luck with it and at least you'll have some spare bolts which are always handy to have to hand
  11. Best time of the year to get all these odd jobs done. What did the carbon clean cost our of interest?
  12. let us know how it goes....good luck!
  13. Not sure of the exact specification of the bolts but I would be tempted to remove one from one of the seats and source some replacements at Screwfix or similar store
  14. Hi....welcome to the Forum I use a Carsoft scan tool as this will cover many areas of the vehicle as opposed to just the engine
  15. Not sure the ECU would work without programming into the system but certainly worth a try if its cheap enough. Certainly sounds like its had many issues in the past. Keep us updated on how it all goes
  16. Thats a great result Cliff, sometimes it can be a simple adjustment but not if someone has been there before and messed it up. Thanks again for the update information
  17. Hi Steve....welcome to the Forum I personally do not have any knowledge of the connecting lead, sorry! Hopefully someone will have the answer and get back to you if not then would recommend asking a specialist car audio company.
  18. Keep us updated on what they find
  19. Hi.....welcome to the Forum If it has a turbocharged engine then sometimes the variable vanes become gummed up with carbon through lack of revs to keep everything clean and moving. You can buy a cleaner to run through the turbo to clean it up and a good blast helps to shift the carbon. Also, it could be an Air Mass Meter (MAF sensor) fault which is causing the loss of power. https://autoevoke.com/index.php?/news/forums/guide-to-maf-sensors-r134/ A scan of the fault code memory should reveal some more information as to what is going on
  20. It sounds like a driveshaft problem but i would definitely take it into a garage to have it checked out as it doesn't sound good
  21. Hi Phil....welcome to the Forum Its a fine car and should do what it says on the tin
  22. Hi....welcome to the forum The easiest way to check glow plugs is with a multimeter and check the resistance of each one, they should all be roughly the same. The one with a different resistance is probably the faulty one
  23. Glad to hear your positive result and cheap part as well ! I would give the engine a good blast and see if that clears the lambda faults, sometimes thats all they need
