  1. Hi Martin, Welcome back to the fold. I hope the site is as great with help as it was before you left.
  2. An update on the update. The Zafira is now back doing what it was doing before I replaced bothO2 sensors. Revs are up and down. And when changing gear, it sounds like you're slipping the clutch because the revs are still high, and not dropping off like they're supposed to. Could this be the maf sensor, or even the throttle body playing up? Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance. AndyR.
  3. Hi there ThomasShore. Just done some google checking, and code 68 seems to relate to the power steering, as it is electric. People are also saying that a low charge in the battery can also bring up this code, Mainly due to the steering drawing a lot of power. Have you had the battery checked to see if its holding charge? Regards Andy.
  4. Hi there, A Viva HA, not many of those about. Stick some pictures up on here, and show us your car. As regarding fuel gauge, it may be worth seeing if you can remove the sender unit from the tank to see if it's sticking. If that seems ok, then maybe check wiring to the fuel gauge. Look forward to seeing pictures, and hope i have been helpful. Regards Andy.
  5. Hi George, welcome to the forum. Nice to see someone local to me joining us. Hope you enjoy your Insignia. Regards Andy.
  6. Hi there 1micky2. There is a fuse box in the engine bay beside the nearside headlight, and there is also one that is in the glovebox behind a panel on the left. Apparently both fuse boxes contain a fuse for the heater blower motor. If you have the cars handbook, it should show which fuse is the one you need to check. Hope this has been helpful. Regards Andy.
  7. Hi Darren, welcome aboard. A Nova, now that's not what you here much of. Feel free to post some pictures when you get it back from its M.O.T.
  8. Hi there Red Astra, I have just been online and found that you need to set it to 250Nm, or 185 ft.-lbs. I did my wifes Peugeot last year, and as my torque wrench didn't go high enough, I nipped it up as tight as the air gun would go, and then rolled down to my local tyre garage and got them to check for me. Luckily I was spot on. Hope this is helpful.
  9. Hi David, I just went back on my profile and found the member that was having problems with his convertible Astra, and I wasn't far out. His forum account is Westcliffe67. Might be worth a message to pick his grey matter.
  10. If my memory serves me well, I think it was a member called Westcliffe.
  11. Hi there, and welcome to the gang.
  12. Welcome to the forum. Wow your recent purchase sounds interesting. Please feel free to share some photos with the group of this very old classic. It's probably the oldest car in the group ??
  13. Hi there, glad you could join us. Sharing knowledge is always a good thing, I try to help out if i can, but sometimes if I'm not sure, I'll leave it to those that do know. I am more an Astra mk4 person.
  14. Might not be a bad idea that. And get prescription sunglasses, that way I can see in the sunshine, when it comes back.
  15. Just checked DVLA website, and it's registered as green, so it's my eyes that were up the creak. . And it states that it has the 3.6 engine.
  16. In the sunlight at vauxfest it did seem black, and very shiny too. I wouldn't have said green, but my eyes were squinting in the sun.
  17. It is definitely a car to be reckoned with. Do you know if they were ever any other colour than black ??
  18. And there were loads more too. From Novas to Chevettes. And yes that last photo was the genuine article. The Holy grail of Carltons...... The Lotus Carlton.
  19. Hi there, I know its 5 months after you posted, but did you get to the problem of your auto box slipping.? It could be low transmission fluid.
  20. Hi there, yes I did show my car. Don't know if there was any pictures with it in though. Basically you just turned up with your car, and joined on to the field where all the others were parked. It was like a Vauxhall/Opel only car park. It was a pity that there was no club stands though.
  21. Hi folks, Did anyone on here get to Stonham Bans for the VAUXFEST24? I went down on the Sunday, it was a nice hot day, and there were quite a selection of Vauxhall/Opel cars to browse over. Unfortunately they didn't allow any club stands, so not a lot of interaction going on between owners. If you go on the Vauxfest Facebook page, there are loads of photos of the weekend. Andy.
  22. Hi Phil. I've just done some Google searching, and found that it looks like you have to get to it from under the wheel arch. Removing the plastic liner will give you access to the lock mechanism. Hope this helps. Andy.
  23. I managed to get my speedo reading the other day on a special figure. It works out that I've also done just over 2000 miles since the mot in February.
  24. Hi all, hope everyone is shining up their cars for the summer. If anyone is interested, there is a new event at Stonham Barns Park, in June. It is a non club stand event, but you can either do the weekend or just a day. All you have to do is turn up in your Vauxhall, Bedford, or Opel. I will add a picture with details on. Would be nice to meet up with some faces of owners.
  25. Hi Daveyboy, welcome to the club. Please feel free to join in with any banter that you find, and if you have any ideas on how to solve other members problems/faults, don't hesitate to make a suggestion. They will all be greatly received.
