  1. My dad is 91 and no longer drives . For over 25 years he has driven his Cavalier GLI that he bought from his then neighbour. The car was first registered in 1992. He has driven It around town and done very few miles~ under 40,000. The car has not been out of the garage for 3 years as I finally persuaded him that at his age he shouldn’t be driving. It has been well cared for over the years and sadly due to his admission to a care home I have the awful task of deciding what to do with his beloved motor. This is not something I relish doing and want to do the right thing for my dad. I am torn in different directions with some saying it’s verging on a classic while others think it is of little value to anyone. If anyone can advise or point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

  2. Bought the car in May21 and have done about 3000 mile. The AdBlue warning came up say to add some within 1034 miles. On the info it showed two green blocks and a small green sliver. I got 10 L of Redex AdBlue from Toolstation @ £9.99 and put the whole lot into the tank, which was very easy. NB this stuff is meant to be very corrosive so I wore gloves and had rags at the ready. The info now has 6 blocks eg about 3/4 full. The owners manual says the AdBlue tank is 17 L Hope this helps

  3. Thanks for the reply. It does seem that the light is related to the collision detection system. Problem is that it only comes on now and then. I will speak to my local dealer again. Regards

  4. Right you are. My vauxhall is a bit old for that technology. I was looking on a vauxhall website on Google. Thought it might have been helpful.

  5. Been to the garage and he thinks it is the gear box and not the clutch , car drives fine the noise however is annoying. The guy said he could not say for definite if it is the gear box until he removes it and I may aswell get a reconditioned one fitted. He also said he doesn't think it's the duel mass fly wheel and never mentioned transition
