  2. So, my newly purchased 2013 came with ‘extreme’ condensation trapped within both headlight units. Being somewhat cheap and always seeking the easiest remedy to nearly everything, I settled on removing all three round covers in the rear of each unit … one about 70mm and the other two about 30mm. I just left these off for a couple of warm sunny days and overnight. Sure enough, all the condensation is gone (for now). No doubt there’s some kind of water leak/s in each unit … but I’ll sort that later. I did also pull off the ‘rubber’ seals on each cover and rolled them back on themselves … thus putting the compressed surface (after twelve years’ use) in the back and the nice new springy surface now the working seal surface. I also put a light coating of lithium grease on these new surfaces before reinstalling. We’ll see how it goes. Cheers.

  28. Hi everyone, I’ve just joined this group and was hoping someone might be able to offer some advice or share any similar experiences. I’ve got a 2019 Vauxhall Crossland X 1.2 petrol (non-turbo) on PCP, which I’ve had for about 16 months. The car has done 30,779 miles. About a month ago, I noticed the car was losing power when trying to accelerate — it felt sluggish and wasn’t responding properly. I took it in for checks, and it turned out there was a misfire on cylinder 2. Upon further inspection, the mechanic found that the tip of the spark plug — the ceramic part — had broken off and fallen into the cylinder. A compression test showed only 67 PSI on cylinder 2, indicating internal engine damage. I’m now facing a potentially huge repair bill, despite the car being relatively new and still under finance. Has anyone else had a similar issue with their Crossland X, particularly with spark plugs or engine misfires? Also, does anyone know if there’s a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) or known issue relating to this? Any advice or shared experience would be really appreciated. I’m currently trying to gather evidence and figure out the best way to approach this with Vauxhall and the finance company. Thanks in advance!
