  2. Glad to hear you had a (semi) successful outcome - the radio does not consume huge amounts of power but left on over time it will flatten the battery.
  3. Yep, sounds like the level sensor as the adblue chrystalises over time and this usually affects the system Please let us know how you get on with it
  4. Sounds like the level sensor is sticking which happens when the adblue chrystalises over time. It would need flushing out and refilling at the least otherwise it could also be the sensor that needs replacing as well.

  6. There are radio code sources online, best bet is to google search it and see what comes up. Some of them you would have to pay a nominal amount to get the code but others are free. You will however, need the serial number from the radio to provide them with something to search against
  7. I can't see the sensor as such but the position is bang on so maybe it is. Worth putting the scanner on the car and see what the live readings are for the ambient air temperature sensor - you'll soon see if it is out of range
  8. Oh didn't realise you had an old Datsun, Andy - what model is it?
  9. Hi....welcome to the Club Maybe worth posting this request in the Vectra section and also the For Sale / Wanted section as more Vectra owners hang around there. Good to have you onboard

  13. Grandland x so many issues with this car !!
  14. Hi there. We all sometimes wonder where our previous vehicles have ended up, So don't think that you are being too sentimental. I sometimes wish I still had my 2.8i Capri, but times move on. According to the DVLA website, your 1989 Blue Astra was still on the road legally, until January 2006, and the last change of log book was later that month on the 16 January 2006. We can only hope that someone has parked it up in there garage for a while and intend to get it back out on the road at some point. Fingers crossed.
  15. I would drop it into a garage to replace and also check out the rest of the engine at the same time
  16. Lovely spacious car, just bought but realised I don't need a big car, drives as it should, cam belt and clutch replaced, unfortunately no proof as it was a friend who did the work.
  17. A new 5-stud spacesaver wheel and tyre. Free to collect.........ng16 area mickhobsic@gmail.com
  18. A brand new steel 16-inch 4-stud Corsa wheel. free..to collect. I need the space ng16 area mickhobsic@gmail.com
  19. Needing some help my 2014 SRI CDTI stop start is not working. If I stall the car I push in the clutch and it starts right back up but when I come to a stop nothing. Battery 12.7v of charge I have done everything I can think of even costing up to lights putting hand brake on 1st and nothing. I have even had everything in the car off to use less power and still no joy can anyone help please.
  20. I miss my BMW and my Audi A6 both worked fine with stop start but this car doing my head in just can not get the stop start working at all.
  21. I have found a drivers handbook from Vauxhall on their website https://www.vauxhall.co.uk/content/dam/vauxhall/Home/PDFs/owners/owners-manuals/meriva/meriva-owners-manual-june-2012.pdf This is for the Meriva June 2012 but there is an earlier version for the model released in January 2012 (if there are any differences - which I doubt) Also, here is a link to a video guide section from Vauxhall which may be easier to see how to work these functions https://www.vauxhall.co.uk/owners/information-and-safety/how-to-videos.html
  22. unfortunately it would be an expensive modification to equip the car with cruise control - including reprogramming control units to accept the new electronics
  23. If you can find the interior cabin temperature sensor (usually on the dash area) then this may be blocked with dust, etc Try to locate it and clean around it to ensure it is correctly reading the cars interior temperature
  24. Hi I had the same problem and its very common issue with the grandland. The wiring loom can't take the load Apparently. I think the wire overheats and causes the wiring to fail. I had the garage look at it and they upgraded the wiring at a cost of £150. Hope this helps
  25. Hi I had the same problem and it was a total nightmare to sort. I had to buy a certain type of manufactures USB memory stick. Had to download load the updates about 20 time before it was recognised by the car. Got there in the end and won't be updating it again lol
  26. Hi the car has developed an oil leak and appears after the wet belt was changed a year ago. Just wondering if any one else has experienced this and what it cost to repair?
  27. I have a 2019 Grandland x 1.2 puretech. And yes it does use oil. I was told that its because the piston rings aren't as tight to the cylinder wall. Apparently this is to reduce friction therfore using slightly more oil but that is excessive. Was there a lot of smoke coming out the exhaust? I had to pay a £1000 to have the wet belt change and Vauxhall weren't interested. Let me know how you got on.
  28. Thats strange, i went vauxhall they said its the MAP sensor on inlet manifold.... ive check the 4 pin wiring all the way to the ECU its all good, just waiting for new MAP sensor come to see if it is that
