  2. Hello Are there any Owners meets in North Essex or Suffolk? I'm new to Vauxhall ownership so keen to get the advice of the more experienced, and I always enjoy a good owners club meet up.
  3. Waters getting in on the passenger front and rear foot well, when I pour water over the windscreen water runs down the bulkhead, It had the windscreen replaced a few months ago but the company that did it say it's nothing to do with the windscreen, this is my partners car and I have to fix it, any pointers greatly appreciated, VID_20260111_134952.mp4
  4. Hiya , my name is Steve I'm a driver in my 60s and I have just bought my first Vauxhall. I've made 4 short trips in it since delivery in December but tommorow we make a 86 mile drive to London , give that battery a top up ! Looking forward to learning more about the Brand and my new car.
  5. Here is what I found on a google search On a 2020 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2, the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve is generally located near or integrated into thetop of therocker cover(valve cover), often found at the end of a vent hose leading from the engine. It's a small, sometimes cylindrical component that controls crankcase vapor flow and is a common replacement item for rough running or oil issues, identifiable by its hose connection and placement on the engine's top.

  7. Not entirely sure if it is a direct fit. It may be better to get a TomTom or similar as they update regularly using WiFi so its always current information and can transfer to other cars as well
  8. I have come across this before but cannot remember the relearn process unfortunately. I would suggest to take a look at the connections down on the pedal and see if there is any damage or dirt collecting in the area. As it seems to be a current fault and is intermittent then quite possibly the connection is loose or some wiring is damaged.

  10. If it is running fine and no drop in the coolant level then it should be okay - obviously when the weather starts to get warm then it is worth checking the fan to ensure its working okay

  12. I would to.. also make sure its a good one too. fast charge phones etc.
  13. No, that is as it should be - the only time the pulley 'locks up' is when the pump is energise and locks into place when you switch the air con on. You will know if it is working as the engine revs will drop and the engine will sound laboured and also an audible click/clunk noise will be heard
  14. My first thoughts were the belt tensioner being worn but you can see if this is happening because it will 'walk' towards the edge of the pulleys as soon as you run it up. Also look for any signs of a specific area that it is walking off - could be main crank pulley, Air Con, water pump, alternator, etc. This should give an indication of where the misalignment is present - sometimes known it to be some grit up behind the mounting bracket causing it to be misaligned.
  15. I know of oil additives that will clean the carbon from the piston rings and this can restore compression and cylinder sealing but it is just something you add to the oil and run for a while and then empty out and refill with fresh oil - but this is a £25 bottle of snake oil - which may or may not resolve your issue. Look up Forte treatments and you can see specs and benefits of their products
  16. Please let us know what you find and how you get on with it all
  17. Found loads of links on google search - https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=vauxhall+GTE+at+carcave&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

  21. Can anyone send me pics or diagram of where all the vacuum pipes go to etc. IE 2 on top hat 3 on throttle body 2 on inlet 1 on egr 1 on map and where the inline Carbon canister & 1 way valves Go etc. As all of mine were missing and have just cuppled them together to get her going.
  22. Good idea print what you need at the time. Cheers I will give it a go.
  23. I seen them on ebay, it also shows a wee spring, but mine must have took off when the button went !!! loads on ebay
  24. I guess as long as it is still running fine and its purely maintenance tasks then it should be straightforward for a skilled mechanic to carry this out. Maybe even with the engine in situ - have you considered a mobile mechanic who can work on it a your premises...may be cheaper as well?
  25. Hi, I have the same model/spec and had nothing but bother with all electrics. Same problem with boot. The car has been back at dealership since June and been told parts on back order! It seems to be a common problem with this car. Hopefully you get yours sorted soon.
  26. I would say it is not unrelated as the aux belt will be turning the alternator pulley which in turn charges the battery so its a knock on effect - you will need to ensure the charging system is working properly before looking at any other faults
  27. well at least you have a couple of options now. Good luck with it all and let us know how you get on with it
