hi new here. gear change issue

Hey can anyone advise me on what might be causing the following. when i change gear i can clearly hear to changing, its like it clicks and cluncks into gear. Changing gear is no problem and when in gear is no problem but i hear it change. a lot louder than normal. any ideas.
