Water pump

Sorry if this is a silly question but I'm going to replace the water pump on my meriva 1.4 turbo and I was wondering where the 2 gaskets go I know 1 goes between the thermostat but what about the other 1 

Silly question I know but we all have to learn sometime

one or the other may be options for different applications - if you can't find somewhere for them both to go then replace the one with the most suitable gasket
