Help with mechanical issues- Code 68

Hi gang

So I bought a 2013 Meriva 1.3 ecoflex diesel with 140k miles, I was told it was perfectly fine and had some servicing done to make it issue free, I get it home and after 300 miles the power steering gives out and I get code 68.

I noticed the PAS fluid was low so I topped that up. It didn't come back. I more recently notice the voltage jumps to 15.2v max then comes down to 14.4v after about 30 seconds to a minuet.

The batterys charge at standing is 12.5v.

I have a diagnostics tool in the post so will update this post when it arrives but if anyone is familiar with these issues and wants to give me some input I would really appriciate that.
