MK 1 Agila Front Springs

Hi all. Does anybody know how to remove the nut at the top of the front strut in order to remove the spring. The problem I have is that the nut sits so deep that you need a long reach socket, but then you can't get a torx bit in the end of the spindle to stop it turning whilst undoing the nut. TIA

Might be worth trying an impact gun (pneumatic or battery) which will spin the nuts off
