Hi all I’m starting to have an issue with my car “insignia 1.4 2016”. When I start the car it will come up with the theft deterrent system on the display then immediately cut out and other times the message will display and the car will stay running and drive no problems. It will always clear and start when I retry the ignition. I want to try and get this fixed before it becomes a permanent issue. It’s not happening every time I drive the car but just becoming annoying. Has anyone had a similar issue or can tell me where to start looking to fix this problem before I have to put it in the garage to be fixed?

I would get the system scanned to determine if there are any fault codes present

Also, maybe worth trying another key (if you have one) to see if there is an issue with it being recognised by the immobliser system

Yes I’m trying the other key and that seems to be ok so maybe fault with the original key

Actually I’m still having the same issue with the spare key so think I’ll get it booked in somewhere to get looked at.
