December 2, 2024Dec 2 Im working on a 2008 vauxhall corsa 1.4 petrol I have changed the fan motor and the connectors and the resistor but the resistor still gets incredibly hot and blows is then it only works on four what other things can be causing this and how can I test it?
December 9, 2024Dec 9 may be cheap resistor pack and maybe try one from a different supplier? If it was a high resistance in the wiring then it would pop the fuse or burn the wiring
December 10, 2024Dec 10 Author No they were all genuine vauxhall parts. I'm just at a loss as to what more I can do I have replaced everything but just no luck I usually only work on vws but this is my dad's car so I will have another look next week but at this point I'm sick of it 🙃
December 10, 2024Dec 10 I have had issues with the motors before as they are cheaply (and badly) manufactured in China and kept packing up Have replaced resistor packs as well and the is a wiring modification for a new plug so not sure if this may be a cause?
