Turbo overboost/ pressure sensor glow plug problems

Hi I have a vauxhall Zafira Tourer 2.0cdti Elite. When I bought the car it had the dreaded service vehicle soon warning, after diagnostics I was getting error codes for turbo over boost and glow plug cylinder 1. Had it checked at a few places to be advised of either a new turbo or turbo clean to correct the problem, I was going in to limp mode every now and again which I presumed was from the turbo overboost. I have since had glow plug 1 replaced and had it reset and so far no more turbo boost problems or service vehicle soon light. Could there be any connection between the 2 and chance it could of been the faulty glow plug causing the turbo overboost problems??
