Paul13 Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 Morning I’m after some assistance please. I’ve recently purchase a 2018 Astra VXR, and I’m having issues with the passenger side seat release handle, feels really stiff and like I’m about to break it. Getting embarrassing when I have more than one passenger Is there anything I can do to enable the mechanism to function better? Was thinking some WD40 but can’t see any mechanism showing as they covered in plastic Images attached below
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 It helps to assist the seat back retraction by applying some backward pressure against it before pulling the release lever. Its the same on my Alfa Romeo Mito (in fact the drivers cable has now snapped) but by pressing against the seat back to alleviate the sprung pressure that is on the mechanism it makes it much easier to release and less chance of breaking anything
Paul13 Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 Morning, thanks for getting back to me. I’ll give this a go later Thank you 1
