Release clutch message on dashboard

Hi. I have just had two instances of a message saying release clutch come up on my dashboard. Both times the clutch was fully up. Any idea what this could be and is it anything two worry about

Apart from resting your foot against the clutch pedal then possibly it is sensing some slippage through the clutch (in fact loss of wheel traction) which may be interpreted as clutch slip?

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I have the same issue, strangely just after I've had a new Clutch fitted and gearbox replaced.

I am getting the same message on my dashboard when I am driving in 5th and 6th gears on Motorway. The Error message is "Manual Gearbox Release Clutch Petrol".

Any one found how to resolve that issue ?

Getting the same issue on Vauxhall Insignia, anyone get to the bottom of this?
