Posted October 15, 20223 yr Hi,Ive recently took over my dads 13 plate 1.8 sxi insignia having owned a 2005 fiesta zetec s that would only need £40 to get me to work and a few trips to the gym etc over a week, This car seems to me to be taking the **** mind i put £40 in it Friday think the trip computer gave me around 220 miles after going to work 15 miles each way i;m down to around 160 miles now. The mpg computer doesn't seem to work as it will say i have 99mpg and at some points then 40mpg and trip computer above the radio says its 72 Fahrenheit,So i'm currently looking at around £60 just to get to work on a much much newer car.
October 17, 20223 yr Heavier car, bigger engine, roads being travelled, traffic, etc....so many variables but the Fiesta would be hard to beat for economy, regardless of the age of the car. It may be worth trying a different route if possible to see if faster / less occupied roads make a difference
