Bonnet strut.

Hi I've bought an insignia 2011 cdti sri.when I bought it the bonnet strut wouldn't keep the bonnet hud up.after trying another 2 second hand struts they also wont hold the weight. Has anyone got any ideas what the issue may be thanks.

I would be tempted to get some new ones, try Autodoc as had some struts (for another car) from them before and keen prices
