Insignia cdti 170bhp nox sensor issue

Afternoon all,

 

Ive recently got the engine management light of the dash of my car so I took it to a friend to diagnosed  the no 2 nox sensor is faulty but car still runs fine. My question is can I continue to run the car while the replacement sensor comes or is it just going to block the dpf? Thanks in advance.

It would definitely be advisable to rectify the issue with the NOx sensor as this could affect the DPF operation
