Tigra window problem

Hello all, New here so hope this is the right way to ask a question, couldn't find help button? but maybe I'm being dim. I have an 09 Tigra which developed a fault this weekend. When opening the roof, all works fine and windows drop a few inches as they should. However, when closing all works fine until the last movement ie the windows do not rise and it gives no final beep. I can raise the windows using the button but car gives off a steady warning beep as you try to drive. Any helpful suggestions please? Thanks in advance.

I am thinking that it may be due to the roof not being worked for a long time (e.g. most of the winter?)

Possibly it is a sticking microswitch or similar causing the malfunction but it may be worth raising and lowering the roof several times to see if it clears.
