Does sound like the EGR then mate.
Not sure if they can be blanked off on your model, but prob worth looking into.

About a 1000 miles should be ok mate, the car is built for it. B)

Sorry mate, just re read your first post.
I thought you meant rear discs.
I tried to get backing plates for the wires BMW earlier in the year, couldn't get them from anywhere.
In the end, i gave up and called BMW.
Only cos £12 each, so prob worth giving Vauxhall a call?
