  1. Welcome to the forum. Feel free to post pics of your car. If you need any advice on your Corsa, there is always someone who could help.
  2. Hi Mick, I did wonder about the hub on left front, as I have a feeling bearing is on its way out. Its the only wheel with a wire to it, as my car doesn't have abs fitted. I have had intermittent problems with the speedo since I first bought car, it would play catch up every so often. I will check with a multi meter, but I think it will be a new hub though. Thanks for your help.
  3. Hi all, here's a new one. My astra g auto was running fine coming home from getting fuel earlier. It stalled on me at a couple of junctions and started straight away. Then I noticed all my clocks were no longer working. Temp gauge sits there twitching. Any ideas as to cause and a fix would be highly appreciated.
  4. That's definitely a nice looking beast. Was being auto a personal choice? My 02 Astra I auto, and I love it.
  5. Welcome to the club, I bet you've noticed the difference in performance. Hope you enjoy your Astra.
  6. Welcome to the club. You don't see many Omega's about nowadays. Hope you have many happy miles driving her.
  7. Hi there HYMERPETE. Welcome to the forum, and its nice to have you on board. I see that you are quite local to me, you're one side of thetford, and I'm the other.
  8. I'm probably going to put a jinx on it, BUT!!!... The clock is behaving itself at last. Touch wood, its been holding the right time for nearly a month. And all i have done is reset it.
  9. Welcome back Dunny. Yes the site can nearly always help out with any questions that you might have about your Astra . Feel free to add some pictures when you get a chance, sounds like a nice motor. Regards Andy
  10. Welcome to the forum Barry. It is a nice example you have there. Hope you have many years of happy motoring and enjoyment.
  11. Pleased to meet you too Phil. Nice to hear that you've turned to home maintenance, it certainly can work out cheaper in the long run, and you get the satisfaction of knowing that you managed to tackle that awkward lock, or replacing those worn out brakes. I have always done my own work, it might sometimes take longer than a garage would. But it gets done at a steady pace.
  12. I just take it steady, and let the old girl build up speed steadily, rather than caning it. She'll plod along quite happily at 60/65mph, and around my local roads I'll average a max of about 50mph, as it's all country lanes and full of farm vehicles. But when I do get out on main roads then I will 65-70. Always a smooth build up.
  13. Hi there Richard. To manually open your boot, you need to climb in from the rear seats. Once you get in to the luggage area you need to look for a small hole near to the latch. By inserting a screwdriver into the hole, you can then release the boot. Apparently this is a common fault, and the release button will need to be replaced. I did a google search, and it came up with a couple of videos on YouTube that show you how to do all that I have described. Hope this helps, and you get it all sorted. Regards Andy
  14. A Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you and your family too. Here's to another year of happy Vauxhall motoring and hopefully some good club meets. All the Best Everyone. Regards Andy
  15. Hi MylieMc, I have just been looking online, and have found the meaning of your code. You only go by the first 4 numbers, so yours is 1010. 1 = MFG Manufacture Specific. 0 =Fuel and Air Metering. 1 = Low Coolant Circuit 0 = Transmission Engaged at High Throttle Angle. It also states that P1010 is Foot Throttle Signal is Out of Range, IVS not changing. Reading on, it is suggesting to check throttle connections are fully connected. Or that the pins might need cleaning. Which could also cause a short . Might be worth checking all the wiring to throttle pedal, and any other wiring connections nearby. Hope this is of help. Keep us informed of how you get on with sorting it. Regards Andy.
